Leonard M. Hickey is a member in the Grand Rapids, Michigan law firm of
Hickey Combs PLC. He obtained his Bachelors and Law Degrees at Marquette
University in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, where he was a member of The
Marquette Law Review and Alpha Sigma Nu, the National Jesuit Honor
Society.
Since 1980, Mr. Hickey has specialized in representing businesses,
employers, insurers and claims administrators in workers' disability
compensation matters. Mr. Hickey is a member of the State Bar of
Michigan and its Workers' Compensation and Employment and Labor Law
Sections. He has been elected by his peers to serve as an officer on the
Council of the Workers' Compensation Section. He is also a member of the
American Bar Association, the Grand Rapids Bar Association, Michigan
Defense Trial Counsel, the Michigan Self-Insurers Association, the
Michigan Public Risk and Insurance Managers Association and the Greater
Grand Rapids Association for Human Resource Management.

Mr. Hickey is a frequent speaker and presenter on workers' disability
compensation issues. His presentations have included the following
